David L. White is a 1966 honors graduate of Gettysburg College with B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology. Following graduation, Dave served in the United States Navy as a Repair Officer onboard USS Robison, DDG-12 and also as Assistant Officer in Charge of USS YRBM-16, a mobile floating base for river patrol boats in the Mekong River in Vietnam. After completion of his military service, Dave entered Villanova University School of Law, from which he received his Juris Doctorate in 1973.
From 1974 to 1985 Dave was employed by Pennsylvania Manufacturers Association Insurance Company where he worked variously as Assistant General Counsel Coordinator of Workers’ Compensation Claims, and finally as Director of Liability Claims. Dave’s responsibilities at PMA included litigation of Workers’ Compensation and Liability claims, analysis of statutory and case law for its impact on insurance operations, establishing claims handling guidelines and procedures, managing the Home Office Liability Claims Department, supervising a Central Negotiations Unit, and monitoring nationwide litigation involving automobile and general liability claims.
In late 1985, Dave entered into the law partnership of Holsten & White in Media, PA. The firm specialized in Municipal Insurance Defense and Workers’ Compensation. At this firm, Dave’s effort alternated between law office management and both Civil and Workers’ Compensation litigation. In April 1998 Dave joined the regional defense firm of Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin where he remained for 9 years engaged in Workers’ Compensation litigation.
