Cynthia L. O’Donnell is a 1985 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she obtained a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Biology. Cynthia worked in the psychology field as a counselor to adolescents for two years, after which she enrolled in the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Cynthia obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1990. While in law school, Cynthia received honors designations in moot court and legal writing. Upon graduating law school, Cynthia worked as a judicial clerk for Judge Peter Paul Olszewski of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania for one year. Following the completion of her clerkship in 1991, Cynthia began practicing law in Pittsburgh. Prior to joining Carpenter, McCadden & Lane, LLP in the fall of 2011, Cynthia practiced law at two prominent Pittsburgh law firms, concentrating her practice in civil defense litigation and workers’ compensation defense litigation. Since joining Carpenter, McCadden and Lane, LLP, Cynthia’s legal practice has been devoted exclusively to the defense of employers and their insurance carriers in workers’ compensation matters.
Cynthia is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Cynthia is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association.
